Played tennis yesterday!!!
It was great fun & we’re planning to try it again soon. Next time we might even put up the net.
(the soft, kid-size balls are staying though)
I’ve asked Sandra what time it is, and she’ll look confused and answer “gukka” (klukka/clock).
After extensive tests I am convinced the child can not tell time.
Yet, somehow she has managed to wake up at 6.24 every morning for a week.
/ had a little scare this morning, with Sandra listless and apathetic, rubbing eyes and crying
after a few hours and a few checks at the children’s hospital the doctor said it was a viral infection in her eye, so recommended treatment is to wait and come back if it gets worse
with age and changing priorities, I’ve have had a hard time finding occasions worthy of single malt lately. at the same time, the cabinet is filling up with some excellent stuff. to avoid a crisis, I’ve found it necessary to expand the criteria a bit
last night wife caught me with 12 yo dalmore and toenail clippers

Just in time for her birthday, Sandra now has double citizenship
A near computer-says-no incident when applying for citizenship for Sandra. There was no document number on her birth certificate: “But I have to put a number in the computer.”
Fortunately, the solution was only a phone call to HQ away.
The latvian thing for such things would not admit that Sigirdirs wasn’t a legitimate transliteration of my name, but after consulting an expert, they deemed that if the individual so prefers, he is permitted to use Sigurdurs
So, my daughter’s Latvian name will be Sandra Sigurdardoutira
This calls for a big yay
