slowly recovering

resembles a human being more & more by the minute

woke up at 7.30. had to spend a penny

decided dat de best thing to do about the blaring headache, aching neck & shoulder & the glowing sunburnt face was crawling back into bed

legs & arms aching as well from manouvering that ski-doo

lay there until 12.30, a record for the past few years

the headache acted like it would outstay it’s welcome & de aching neck didn’t seem to be going anywhere soon either, so siggimus calls the chinese magicians he hasn’t had time to visit for weeks on account of working like kunta kinte & makes an appointment

barely stays conscious waiting for the appointment, even takes a wee nap after going through the just over 500 pics :/ taken on yesterday’s trip

björgvin the chinaman does help a bit, but siggimus nevertheless decides not to accept an invitation to dinner from jodaz & valdís, as there were more people joining later

it never rains but it pours;

siggif calls soon after siggimus gets back to his wee crib & asks if into doing something

siggimus declines for the same ugly reason

well, now for da last pivo & shrek 2

after kunta-kinte-ing for 2 weeks, siggimus is invited to the trip of a lifetime, following a big bang

(during the bang, the humongous (& excellent) poster did excellently in the background)

afterwards, the foreigners are taken on monster jeeps via þingvellir

some happy clouds

up to langjökull glacier, where everybody gets to ride a ski-doo for a bit

ouch, that ski-dooing is fun stuff!!

& everyone went practically mad, trying to almost fall off, except for the tiny foreign chick, who was perhaps overly careful

den, back up on de ice for a wee delicious, albeit late, brunch

a happy mountain & some happy-ish clouds

nothing like plucking a bottle of beer straight outta snow & sipping when you’re real hungry & thirsty

den, when everybody is filled up on shrimp & sandwich & smoked salmon & wine & beer, a round of golf is played

given the circumstances, it may not be altogether surprising that hj won; she came closest to putting it in the (just over 2m wide) hole

den on to the cottage in húsafell, where 2 chefs start working deir magic with lobster, lamb, chicken & pork on da bbq

oooolala & slurp!!

dat was some mighty fine cooking

& der’s still lotsa beer & wine left, so fun is had until it starts getting a little less light & den all drive back

& to think!

to endure all of this, siggimus had to give up a whole day of work 😀

having heard tons of praise heaped upon it, siggimus decides to go see romeo & juliet on the swings last night

takes b & her m along

for someone who has read the thing at least once & seen it a few times (yayaya, siggimus is a freak), it’s borderline cliché

& entering the theatre, siggimus began wondering if romeo on a swing was really such a good idea

well, all was blown away!!

it was incredibly great & ingenious & exhilarating & completely original & a lot of other cool things!!

siggimus’ advice of the week: go see it!!

while some of the criticism is right; he is sensational & poses a lot of unfair questions to some, but it’s still good to see charlton heston (put his vest on) squirm

doesn’t have many good answers, but the questions are excellent

while having sworn an oath that not one of the (approx 500) pics taken last night would be made public until certain conditions are met on behalf of certain women, siggimus has, of course been known to lie and cheat when it suits him!!

so it’s more like semi-cheating?

anyhoo, it was a night like no other; around 20 consenting adults decide to first grow beards, then intentionally and with eerie purpose shave off everything but the upper lip

upon arrival, men were photographed twice before being allowed into the apartment where they were met with sweet notes from a violin & the occasional pluck of a guitar string

some had put a great deal of work into the accompanying costumes, while others, e.g. siggimus, didn’t do more than absolutely necessary, & others (sibbi!!) didn’t even wear a fucking costume!!

so, after this perverse game had gone on long enough, all of the above strutted over to nearby ölver, for some karaoke

the other inhabitants didn’t seem to mind the invasion too much, & some of the chicks, being impressed by the size of siggimus’ equipment, actually struck a pose & begged him to shoot

when dey all got together on stage, crooning ymca, siggimus ran about extremely professionally & filmed the event

so, all in all a pretty good night

it’s finally upon us

the moustache party is tonight, so siggimus finally gets to shave after 3 weeks of wild growth
