siggimus is getting quite excited about his wee upcoming trip, & about time too, with only 4 days until departure!<\/p>\n
so, checking out whether anything has changed<\/a>, siggimus must say that a few things have given him butterflies in his tummy as he rides down memory lanes<\/p>\n siggimus saw prata vetra in pepsiforums in ’99, before they did the eurovision song contest & renars kaupers mc’d the one they did. it’s now called roxy, apparently<\/p>\n there was sitting in amsterdama with toni & mika, writing a postcard to korlyx with rod stewart abusing skunk anansie in his ears<\/p>\n there was hot chicks (of course) & excellent garlic bread in dickens pub<\/a>. there was also runcis, the pool tournament at klondaika the night before siggimus left riga last time, & of course paddy whelans<\/a> where the hot waitress chicks wanted to throw a drunken siggimus out after he gave mike (maiks kungs) some dried fish for his birthday…<\/p>\n there was delicious satana alus at melnais kakis<\/a><\/p>\n unfortunately it seems wagners has been replaced, but siggimus spent many an hour there drooling over the waitresses who had gotten to recognise siggimus & started preparing a double espresso if he nodded to them on the way in. then about half an hour passed & siggimus’ pen started frantically scribbling something that would most probably end up in one of his newsletters<\/a>…<\/p>\n there are both sweet and bitter memories from pulkvedim neviens neraksta<\/a>. there was going there on the last night in ’99, before flying home. chatting with some famous rappers. seeing janis & mary jane<\/a> play there. forgetting back pack there one night, having his hostel room broken into the morning after & returning to the club distraught to find the backpack intact, with camera & everything…<\/p>\n but of course the main reason for excitement is that andalusians suns<\/a> is still at it in berga bazars & still (siggimus hopes) churning out that excellent tex mex siggimus has missed sooooo much for almost five long years now<\/p>\n & shashlik<\/p>\n tex mex at andalusian suns & shashlik<\/p>\n *sigh<\/p>\n
