{"id":5077,"date":"2011-05-29T10:55:04","date_gmt":"2011-05-29T10:55:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/vu2057.freddie.1984.is\/siggimustest\/?p=5077"},"modified":"2025-07-29T17:01:47","modified_gmt":"2025-07-29T17:01:47","slug":"pu-ha","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/siggimus.com\/siggimus\/2011\/05\/29\/pu-ha\/","title":{"rendered":"pu ha"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>for the third year in a row, siggimus survives cycle to work<\/p>\n<p>it is now five days since siggimus unmounted his trusty steed, &amp; he has sufficiently recovered to bring you:<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: small\">ctw 2011 report, extended version<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>in yet another victory of stubbornness and cantankerous determination, siggimus manages to cycle more than last year. last year he did a venerable 400,82 km, but this time around he went all the way up to 11 and turned in 528,42 km<\/p>\n<p>yes, ladies &amp; gentleman, that is, by siggimuses reckoning, roughly half the way to the moon<\/p>\n<p>ctw 2011 in bullets:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>turned in full house, 15 days, or 100%<\/li>\n<li>going a total of 528,42 km<\/li>\n<li>taking approximately 27 hours 13 mins and 15 seconds, or so to do it<\/li>\n<li>which equates to roughly\u00a019,3885950158155 km\/h on average<\/li>\n<li>that&#8217;s an average of 35,23 km per day\n<ul>\n<li>and 2 hours, 5 mins and 38 seconds per day\u00a0on the bike<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>this is 21,23 km over the 14 kms it takes to get to work and back\n<ul>\n<li>each day<\/li>\n<li>a total of 318 km over the 210 km required to get to work and back 15 times<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>that&#8217;s like going 35,2 times to work and back, in 15 days\n<ul>\n<li>or to use a bigger number, 251,63% more cycling than required to merely go to work and then go home again<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>2 shortest days were 22,18 km\n<ul>\n<li>one of those was in a <a href=\"http:\/\/vu2057.freddie.1984.is\/siggimustest\/2011\/05\/22\/ash\/\">cloud of ash<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/vu2057.freddie.1984.is\/siggimustest\/2011\/05\/23\/ninja\/\">in full ninja gear<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>longest 2 days were around 60 km\n<ul>\n<li>first there was 58,9 km<\/li>\n<li>then there was 61,22 km<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>there were bunnies, plenty of <a href=\"http:\/\/vu2057.freddie.1984.is\/siggimustest\/2011\/05\/16\/bunny\/\">bunnies<\/a><\/li>\n<li>mostly, <a href=\"http:\/\/vu2057.freddie.1984.is\/siggimustest\/2011\/05\/18\/still-again\/\">the weather was beautiful<\/a>\n<ul>\n<li>there was no snow<\/li>\n<li>well, none to speak of, and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/vu2057.freddie.1984.is\/siggimustest\/2011\/05\/17\/snooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow\/\">not while siggimus was cycling<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>compared to 2010, this:\n<ul>\n<li>equals 100% in days<\/li>\n<li>is 31,83% over the distance 400,82 km<\/li>\n<li>longest day 61,22 km vs. 77,55 last year<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>compared to 2009, this is:\n<ul>\n<li>better than 85,7% in days<\/li>\n<li>129,28% over the distance 230,47 km<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>compared to\u00a0colleagues\u00a0this is:\n<ul>\n<li>fifth place, out of 41<\/li>\n<li>167,27% of the overall average of 315,9 km<\/li>\n<li>104,1% of the overall average of 14,4 days<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>still, only 52,89% of what the #1 dood did (1018,3 km!
