while endlessly proud of himself, siggimus is quite possibly & probably dead
on the last day of cycle to work, he somehow managed to go 77,55 km, bringing the grand total for those 13 days to 400,82 km
but how did siggimus do it? what’s the secret?
superhuman strength was involved, of course, but mostly it was fed by an overgrown stubbornness, that inability to surrender to the facts and admit defeat, even in the face of death or serious mutilation
in short, during cycle to work 2010, siggimus managed to:

- get a bit ‘lost’ a few times
- do 400,82 km total
- which took 21:13:28 in the saddle
- … an average of 30,83 km per day
- … and 170,38 km more than last year
- … which took an average of 01:37:57 per day
- eat 7 flies
- … an average of 0,53846 flies per day
- go about 50% over his goal of 20 km per day
- do 216,32 km over the ‘necessary’ 182 km (14 per day)
- have a shortest day of 17,35 km (only one way)
- longest day was 77,55 km
- longest day took 04:40:09
- have only one flat tire
- discover that cycling 14 km with a bottle of pepsi will shake it violently
- discover that violently shaking a bottle of pepsi will make it squirt violently upon opening
- discover that half a bottle of pepsi is not a lot when you’re very thirsty
